You can easily whip up this gorgeous sunflower decor in just minutes. Add a gorgeous Bowdabra bow and you turn a scrap piece of wood into a timeless piece of decor! This project is quick and easy so let’s get started!
Materials:
Wood
Paint
Pouring medium
Craft sticks
Something round (I used a lid)
Straw
Toothpicks
Plastic cups
Qtips or dauber
Bowdabra bow wire
Fabric/ lace/ ribbon
Instructions:
First, using a 2 x 6 scrap board, take a baby wipe and rub some wax over it on the front side and backside. Wipe off the excess wax and let dry.
Tape off the sides of the board so that no paint drips there. Next, use a pouring medium in four different colors of yellow. Place a round object in the center and start pouring the yellow paint all around the object.
Next, using a straw, blow out the yellow into petal shapes. Shape out the petals using a craft stick or similar object.
Then, use some green paint with a pouring medium to create a stem and a leaf. Add some lime green paint to the stem and leaf with a craft. Let dry completely.
Add the seeds and make the bow:
Using a toothpick and cotton swab add black and brown paint dots all around the center of the sunflower.
Cut some Bowdabra bow wire and fold it in half. Lay in in the Mini Bowdabra. Use some fabric strips and lace folding loops back and forth to make a mini Bow. Scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Thread the loose wire through the loops and pull tight. Remove the bow from the Mini Bowdabra, turn to the back, and tie a double knot.
To finish, glue the bow onto the sunflower decor piece. You have a beautiful sunflower leaning artwork decor.
