Directions:

First, prepare your surface if needed by removing stickers, embellishments, hangers, or glitter, and sand well to make a smooth place to work

Spread a smooth layer of Modpodge to cover your entire surface, and dry completely

Next, lay your scrapbook paper on your surface, place some parchment paper on top of that, and run a hot iron over top to adhere the paper to your surface. By using the iron, you are reactivating the dried Mod Podge underneath.

Cut or sand off any excess paper from your edges

Paint or stain your HOME pieces to your liking, and once dry, attach them to the bottom of your sign with hot glue.

Next, paint your WELCOME, sign, and use hot glue to attach it above the houses to spell out. “Welcome Home”.

Paint circles on your houses to represent the holes in a birdhouse.

Cut your skewer into small pieces and attach one at the bottom of each house to represent the perch.

Now, cut out pictures of birds and attach them to the houses where you want them using some Mod Podge to adhere.

Make the bow:

Next, make your bow with your Bowdabra by adding wire, jute, ribbon, or cord to the center and tuck underneath to keep it out of your way while you make your bow.

Then, add Excelsior or Rafia into the Bowdabra first, then begin making your loops with the fabric to complete the look. Use the wand to push everything together before tying it up in the middle. Tie a knot in the back to secure the bow.

Finishing:

Add a button to the middle of the bow if desired. Then, add a jute hanger to your welcome home sign by gluing the ends to the back. Tie the bow to the hanger to complete this project.
