Materials:
1 ½” wide ribbon 22 inches
Charm of choice
French clip or alligator clip
Instructions:
Gather your supplies.
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire, fold it in half and tuck the ends under while you are making the bow.
Next, have an adult help with preparing the tails by cutting dovetails in the ends and using a lighter or clear nail polish to seal. To dovetail, fold the ribbon in half and cut at an angle away from the fold.
Now, lay in the tails, first one color, then the other color.
Next, make a boutique style bow with the22” piece of ribbon. Find the center and place it right side of the ribbon down into the Bowdabra. Then, take one end of the ribbon bring it over and scrunch that right side down into the bowdabra. Bring the other end over the first loop which forms a sort of X shape and scrunch that in the Bowdabra. Now, push the lower ribbon in first, then push the top one and you have a boutique style bow.
Now scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security.
Now, thread a charm of your choice onto the exce3ss wire and tie it in a knot in the back.
Tie the bow on to a ponytail elastic, French clip, or alligator clip and trim off the excess wire. You may have an adult help with adding some hot glue if desired.
Repeat all these steeps to make a matching an equestrian show hair bow for a pair of two.
