9-12 Blooming Stems
Nature Stems
3 yards Emeila Ribbon 2.5″ wide
2.5 yds Burlap (wired) cream ribbon 2.5” wide
First, cut a piece of silver Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your wedding bouquet.
Next, place in the blooming stems. Make sure all the stems are the same length so that the bride will be able to easily hold the wedding bouquet.
Now, lay in the Emilia ribbon which you have already rolled the ends in place of dovetailing. Then, lay in the burlap ribbon and roll the ends.
Take the longest piece of Emilia ribbon and place it in the Bowdabra, fold and twist making loops back and forth. Make sure the right side of the ribbon is on the outside of the loops.
Repeat this step with the long piece of burlap ribbon. Fold and twist to make loops being mindful that the right side is facing out. Finish by making a half loop or button loop.
Now scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security.
Wrap the excess wire around the stems of the flowers to make it easy for the bride to hold the bouquet and clip off the ends of the wires.
To finish, fluff and arrange the bow and the florals. What a terrific way to personalize your bridal bouquet!
To add to your personalized wedding decor make the companion pieces, of a pew bow, bridesmaid bouquet, and upcoming corsage.
