Sandy Sandler, the creator of the Bowdabra is here to help you get ready for the new season with the beautiful spring and summer swag. This swag is perfect all season long right up until fall. You couldn’t have a versatile décor piece.
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, fold the mesh end under so that the fraying doesn’t show and feed into the Bowdabra from the top down like an accordion. End by folding the other end under as well.
Now, lay in the greenery in one direction, then, place the florals in the Bowdabra in the opposite direction. Alternate the direction of the florals and greenery as you go.
Then, add the purple bubble dots ribbon tails by fold in half to find the center and then scrunch it in the Bowdabra. Dovetail the ends. To dovetail, fold the ribbon in half and cut at an angle away from the fold.
Using a piece of the bubble dots ribbon, twist so that the right side tail is facing up, and make a loop on the other side scrunching it in the Bowdabra. Repeat this step with another piece of prepared ribbon.
Next using the lavender ribbon, lay in the Bowdabra with the right side facing down, bring it across to make a loop, and repeat with the other side.
Now, using the striped ribbon, place it in the Bowdabra and fold and twist it to make a bow. Scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand.
Place a hydrangea bush on one side and some greenery on the other side. Scrunch down again with the wand. insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security.
Fluff and arrange the loops and flowers of your spring and summer swag.
