Hi, I’m Lisa with Crafting With Mimi, and proud member of the Bowdabra design team. My project today is such beautiful Easter decor and will surely fill your heart and home with the warmth of spring. It’s easy to make and lovely to bring spring into your home. Let’s dive into it!
Supply List:
2 wooden slat boards from Dollar Tree
2 craft Sticks
Wood glue/hot glue
White and Lavender paint
Lavender Ribbon from Dollar Tree
Thin matching ribbon for securing the bow
1 white pearl from Dollar Tree
Greenery/florals of choice
ModPodge
Bunny Napkin or napkin of choice
Jute
Wooden tag
Instructions:
First, start by removing tags and hangers from wood boards.
Next, paint the front of the boards with white paint and let dry.
Now, turn the boards over and put them side by side. Using wood glue and hot glue, secure popsicle sticks along the seam of the boards. Allow to cool for a few seconds before turning them back over.
Separate the plies of the napkin until you are left with the top layer of the image.
Using a water pen or paintbrush with water, go around the image and start tearing the excess paper, creating a feathery border.
Apply an even thin layer of ModPodge to the front surface of the boards, and lay your napkin in the spot of your choosing.
Next, seal the entire project with a layer of modpoge. Allow to completely dry.
Wrap jute around the end 6-8 times to hide the holes from the original hanger, and secure the ends to the back with hot glue.
For the bow:
Using the mini Bowdabra cut a length of ribbon, add it to the middle slot, and tuck ends under to keep out of the way.
Next, start to form the bow by making 2 loops on each side, making sure the ribbon and loops are even. Cut tail.
Bring ribbon ends up to the middle of the bow, and tie a tight knot before pulling the bow from Bowdabra.
Add florals to the project, and glue the bow to the center of those. Add a pearl to the center of the bow.
Paint the wooden tag lavender and allow it to dry.
Tie the tag to the wrapped jute on the side and tie a bow in front
Glue a jute hangar to the back of the project.
How easy and inexpensive it is to create beautiful Easter decor with the Mini Bowdabra!
