Materials:

8″ wood slats from DT
Paint sticks cut to 10″ (4 pieces)
Jug decoration from DT
Small wooden spoon
Spanish moss
Florals of choice
Scrapbook paper: black with bees for the jug, honeycomb, and kraft brown for the tag
Twine or Bowdabra Bow Wire
Mini Bowdabra
Large Bowdabra

Instructions:

First, attach the slats from the dollar tree to form a frame.  Next, arrange the paint sticks across the back of the frame evenly and use a staple gun to attach them to the frame.

Now, brush on some truffle color paint all around the frame and paint sticks.  Let dry, then dry brush some lighter acrylic paint. This will give the frame a weathered look. Sand the edges and corners.

Next, paint the honey jug wood decoration with black paint.  Spread some school glue all over the front and immediately brush on some of the same paints you used on the frame. Let dry.  Then tear away the patterned paper to fit on the honey jug. Prepare your tag stamping on the word “honey.”

Sand and apply some distress ink and caramel color paint on the pieces for a rustic look. Use some ModPodge to attach the patterned paper to the front of the honey jug.

Make the Bow:

Using the Mini Bowdabra lay in a piece of twine.  Then, place in some ribbon, fold over one side, and then the other to create a small bow.  Pull the twine tight and tie it into a knot.  Leave the strings long so that you can add the tag and mini spoon. Glue the bow onto the honey jug.  Before you add the honey jug to the frame, distress the edges some more.

Add some moss and flowers all around the bottom of the honey jug.

Make the large bow:

Using the large Bowdabra, fold a piece of twine in half and lay it in the Bowdabra.  Next, lay in a folded piece of gold burlap. Continue by making loops with the polka dot burlap, Muslin, honeycomb print ribbon, muslin, and black and tan checked ribbon.

Pull up all the layers and pull tight, remove from the Bowdabra, turn to the back, and tie into a knot. Fluff and arrange the bow and use some hot glue to attach to the honey jug craft. For a final touch add some small pieces of flowers to the bow.

Finally, attach some wire to the back for hanging.  You have the sweetest rustic honey jug craft for a charming display!
