Materials:
Basket
Cellophane
Tissue paper
Shred
Miscellaneous content, customized for the recipient
2 yards 2.5” wired Valentine ribbon
1.5 yards 1.5” wired Valentine ribbon
Bowdabra Bow Wire
Large Bowdabra
Gift BasketCase (Optional)
Instructions:
First, place the gift basket base through the towers of the Bowdabra. Next, drop the basket in the center of the basket base and pull it tight around the basket. Remove the basket.
Next, cut a piece of cellophane and wrap it around the basket. Pull the cellophane from the points upward and gather around the basket making sure there are no wrinkles.
Now, replace the basket in the basket base which is anchored to the Bowdabra. Open the gathered cellophane. Add some tissue and shred in the basket to build the base for adding gifts. Begin adding your items with the taller ones in the back.
Cut a length of Bowdabra bow wire, fold it in half for a slip knot, and wrap it around the top of the cellophane to close.
Now, remove the gift basket from the basket base. Fluff and arrange the cellophane and trim as needed. Find a small hole in the top of the gift basket and poke in a stick balloon. Set aside.
Make the Bow
Cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Using two pieces of dovetailed heart ribbon place each in the Bowdabra on each side so that the hearts are facing the same direction. To dovetail, fold the ribbon in half and cut at an angle away from the fold.
Next, use about 1 1/2 yards of 2 1/2″ heart ribbon and place in the Bowdabra, twist and fold to make loops for a loopy bow. Repeat this step with matching 1 1/2″ wide heart ribbon. Finally, add a rose.
Now, scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security. Fluff and arrange the bow.
Use the excess wire to attach the bow to the Bae basket. Tie the bow on the basket with a bow so that it is removable for re-use.
