Instructions:
First, brush on a thin layer of chalk paint on a Dollar Tree sled wall hanging to cover the image. Then, paint the sled’s rails and back with truffle paint. Next, dry brush some mineral chalk paint on the rails to give it some more dimension. Let all paint dry before going on to the next step.
Now, brush on a coat of ModPodge on the front of the sled and lay on the printable image. Cut around the paper image to fit the sled. Sand around all the edges. Rub an ink pad all around the edges. Use a blending brush to bring some of the color to the front for an aged, distressed look. Add another layer of ModPodge to the front of the sled after the ink has dried.
Prep for the Bow
Now, paint the cedar branches with some brown antiquing wax. Use the wax on six pieces of webbed ribbon. Cut your strips of fabric for the bow.
Fold a piece of twine in half and lay it in the Bowabra. Now lay in your webbing pieces followed by fabric strips back and forth. Add some of the greenery in between and continue with fabric strips. Repeat this process until you have used all your fabric strips.
Thread the loose twine through the loops and pull tight. Remove the bow from the Bowdara, separate the ends, and tie a knot. Fluff and arrange the bow and greenery.
Finally, staple the bottom layers of the bow to the Sled. Glue some greenery and berries to the center of the bow. Optionally, attach a painted ornament to the center. For a final touch mix some baking soda with white paint and add some all around for a snow effect.
