Hi! I’m Joette from the Bowdabra Design Team, and I’m thrilled to show you how to create a stunning Winter Greetings Door Hanger. This tutorial will not only bring the rustic beauty of the season into your home but also demonstrate the incredible versatility and forgiving nature of the Bowdabra. Get ready to say hello to winter in style!
Door sign
Large Bowdabra
Bowdabra Bow Wire
Staple gun or hot glue
Pine/evergreen branch
4- Assorted ribbon pieces to match, 1.5” and 2.5” wide at approximately 30” each
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Now, dovetail the ends on all of the ribbon pieces. To dovetail, fold the ribbon in half and cut at an angle away from the fold.
Next, take a piece of Bowdabra ribbon, find the center, and place it in the Bowdabra. Now, bring one end over and scrunch in the Bowdabra. Make sure you have about a 5-inch loop and a 5-inch tail. Repeat with the opposite end.
Repeat this step with the whimsey ribbon and the 1 1/2″ burlap ribbon, and finish with the black sheer ribbon.
Place the pinecone pick in the center. Now, scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security.
Fold and lay in a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Next, lay in the pine picks evenly on both sides. Now, pull the loose ends through the loop and remove the swag. Turn to the back and tie a knot. Now, tie the bow to the center of the swag.
Tie or staple the bow/swag to the sign. Now, greet guests and family with this super easy winter greetings door hanger that you made in just minutes.
