First, download the butterfly gift bow pattern and cut it out. Then pin the pattern pieces to six-inch pieces of 2 1/2″ wide ribbon. Cut out the pieces of ribbon and set aside.
Next, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Mini Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Now, take the two bottom pieces and scrunch them together into the Mini Bowdabra. Next, scrunch in the two top pieces of ribbon into the Mini Bowdabra accordion style.
Now, scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security.
Next, take a chenille stem coil it around a pencil, and set it aside.
Then, fold another chenille stem in half and slide the chenille coil down one side. form into a “V” shape and attach to the center of the butterfly bow. Curl the two antenna ends. Attach a magnet to the back of the butterfly bow with some hot glue.
