Think you can’t make a stunning winter decor quickly and easily? Think again! You can make this winter swag in under 10 minutes with the Bowdabra. Sandy Sandler, the creator of the Bowdabra shows you the simple steps!
Gold branch pick
Two pine picks
Owl ornament or pick
One yard of 2 ½” wide Ivory gold swirl ribbon
One yard 2 ½” wide Ivory wired satin ribbon
Three yards 2 ½” wide ivory gold swirl ribbon
Two yards 2 ½” wide wired satin ivory ribbon
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, lay in each pine pick, one on each side of the Bowdabra.
Then, lay in the tail pieces of ivory gold swirl rib bon and the satin wired ribbon. Dovetail the ends of the tails. To dovetail, fold the ribbon in half and cut at an angle away from the fold.
Now, take the longer piece of wired edged satin ribbon and lay it in the Bowdabra, then fold and twist making loops across. Make sure as you fold that the right side of the ribbon is facing up.
Repeat this step with the longer piece of gold swirl ribbon.
Finally, lay down the gold picks which you have folded in half. Now, take the Owl ornament and place that in the Bowdabra.
Now, scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security.
Shape and arrange your beautiful winter swag and you did it in under 10 minutes!
