Materials:
Orchid stem
Floral greenery
Floral tape
Large Bowdabra
Bowdabra bow wire
Gold gleam ribbon, 2 ½” wide 60 inches
Christmas plaid ribbon 2 ½” wide
Sheer gold ribbon
Note: Fall orchid arrangement
Instructions:
First, Sandy removes the bow from the fall floral arrangement, remove the bow so that you can create a Christmas bow. Cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire, fold it in half and lay it in the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other. Tuck the ends underneath so that they stay out of the way while making your bow.
Next, cut pieces of each gold gleam, Christmas plaid, and sheer gold ribbon and dovetail the ends. Place them in the Bowdabra.
Now, working with the gleam and Christmas plaid ribbon together, place the ends in the Bowdabra. Twist and fold making loops back and forth.
Then, using the sheer gold ribbon insert it in the Bowdabra as you did before, fold and twist to make another bow.
Now, give everything a good scrunch with the Bowdabra wand. Thread the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Remove, turn to the back, separate the ends, and tie a knot and double knot.
Arrange and fluff out the loops of the bows.
To finish, use the excess wire to tie the bow on to your orchid arrangement. Make sure you tie it in a bow so that when winter come around you can make a winter themed bow.
