Sandy Sandler is here today to show you how you can make a super cute and easy Halloween door bow quick as a wink. In just minutes you can decorate your door with this amazing bow! So let’s get started:
Materials for your door bow:
Three Black / White Ball Pick
10 in x 21 in Orange Poly Deco Mesh
10 in x 22 in Black Poly Deco Mesh
Purple Ghost Print 2.5 in x 22 in
Ghost Print 2.5 in x 24 in purple
Purple Ghost Print 2.5 in x 23 in
2.5 in x 12 in Purple Ghost Print
Instructions:
To make your door bow, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, take the black deco mesh, fold it in half to find the center and place it in the Bowdabra.
Repeat this step with the orange deco mesh making sure that the ends go in opposite directions.
Now, lay in the Ball picks making sure they are placed in the Bowdabra facing opposite directions.
Next, take the ghost print ribbon which you have already dovetailed the ends, fold in half and lay it into the Bowdabra with the ends facing down. To dovetail, fold the ribbon in half and cut at an angle away from the fold. Repeat with the second piece of ghost ribbon.
Now take the longer piece of ghost ribbon and take the right side of the ribbon facing down and place it in the Bowdabra. Then, take the side also facing down and scrunch that in the Bowdabra. Then, scrunch down the middle for a bow.
Repeat this step with the next piece of ribbon, which is smaller, thus making a graduated bow. And finally repeat with the smallest piece of ghost ribbon.
Finishing the door bow
Now, scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security.
Shape and arrange your Halloween door bow. You have a super simple way to dress up your door or to use as a centerpiece!
