You can make this fun hanging Halloween ghost in minutes using the Bowdabra and just a few supplies. This step-by-step tutorial guides you through the simple process. Add some glow in the dark ribbon and your ghost is even more eerie! So, Let’s get started.
Round foam ball
Eerie fabric, cheesecloth, or sheer white fabric
Floral wire about 14”
White felt
Glue gun or white craft glue
Halloween googly eyes
Glow in the dark ribbon (optional)
Bowdabra bow maker
Bowdabra bow wire
First, feed the wire through the foam ball from the top leaving a loop at the top and two pieces of wire through the bottom.
Next, open your fabric and push the top loop on the foam ball though it. Then fold the fabric down and around. (body of ghost) Bed the ends of the wire in so they are not pointed.
Now, cut some Bowdabra bow wire, fold it in half and lay it in the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This is your slip knot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way.
Now place the head and wire into the Bowdabra at the neck area. You can cut 12” lengths of glow in the dark ribbon if you desire at this point and lay them in the Bowdabra as well.
Now pull up the two wires and feed them through the loop and pull tight while the ghost is still in the Bowdabra. Remove the ghost, separate the ends, turn to the back and tie a knot and double knot.
Now cut a piece of felt 1” x 6”. Using hot glue or craft glue fold the felt over the wire lengthwise covering it all the way. Now, bend the covered wire to form arms.
Drape the fabric all around your ghost and use the top wire to hang. It was so easy to create this fun Halloween hanging ghost!
With the glow in the dark ribbon!
