Sandy Sandler, the creator of the Bowdabra is here today to show you how to easily make this stunning dollar store square wreath! This adorable wreath has a beach themed vibe but will work for any time of the year.
The materials used in this project are easily accessible and can be found at your local Dollar Tree or craft store. These include a square wreath, rope, netting, a lantern, and the Bowdabra bow maker, among others. So let’s get started!
First, wrap the square wreath all around in a basketweave pattern with the rope. Next, attach the netting by tucking it into the woven rope. Now, add the lantern securing with the zip tie.
Cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, lay in a berry pick on each side. Follow with more picks and greenery. Lay in the flowers next.
Now, lay in a piece of Emilia ribbon for tails. Then, lay in the longer piece of ribbon and twist and fold to create the loops of the bow. Repeat this process with the shimmery ribbon.
Scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security.
To finish, use the Bowdabra bow wire to tie the swag on to the wreath. Shape and arrange the swag bow. You have the most beautiful dollar store square wreath in just minutes!!
