Leaf Gnome Magnets are the perfect autumn decoration with their splash of vibrant fall colors. Icing on the cake is that they are so-o-o-o easy to make. Follow along with this tutorial and make your own leaf gnome magnet.
Here are the supplies that you’ll need:
- Colorful artificial autumn leaves
- Acorns (real or artificial)
- Scraps of patterned cardstock in fall colors
- Your choice of adhesive—liquid glue, double-sided tape, glue dots, etc.
- Button magnets
- Leaf Gnome Hats patterns
Let’s make a Leaf Gnome Magnet:
- First, deconstruct the artificial leaves. Peel the “veins” from the back of the leaves and discard.
- Stack two leaves and glue together along the top edge.
- Using the Leaf Gnome Hats patterns cut a hat of the appropriate size from your patterned cardstock. Glue this hat to the top of the leaves.
Glue the acorn nose in place.- Lastly, glue a button magnet to the back side of your gnome.
- Make several leaf gnome magnets, and splash those autumn colors around your home.
