Sandy Sandler is here to show you the easy way to make an adorable baby boy door bow with Bowdabra. Follow this quick and easy DIY video on how to make a door bow for your boy’s baby shower or add your baby boy’s room! If you change the colors you can easily make this for a baby girl as well.
Spring daisy ribbon, blue 2 ½” wide
White polar frost ribbon 2 ½” wide
Sheer dot ribbon, turquoise 1 ½” wide
Deco mesh, 3 yards
Dollar tree baby’s breath bush
Foam stickers, letters
Baby rattles and small toys
Matching stuffed animal
Note: We are using both large and mini Bowdabras for this project.
First, using the Mini Bowdabra, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire, fold it in half, and lay it in the Bowdabra. Now, using the swirl ribbon, feed it from the top alternating from side to side to make a scrunchy bow. Next, take the dotted ribbon and do the same, but this time just do it the regular way feeding it from the top down.
Scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then feed the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Separate the ends, bring it around to the back, and tie a knot. Shape the bow. Tie it around the neck of the stuffed bear to resemble a bow tie. Set aside.
Next, using the polar white ribbon add the letters baby bow and stars on the ribbon. Set aside.
Now using the regular Bowdabra cut and fold a long piece of bow wire and lay it in the Bowdabra. Then, scrunch in the 21” wide déco mesh.
Now, add the tails of the various ribbons ending with the ribbon with the lettering. Next, take the swirl ribbon and lay it in the Bowdabra twisting and making loops to form a bow. Scrunch everything down. Repeat this with the butterfly ribbon.
Next, bend the rose bush in half and place it in the Bowdabra, repeat with the next floral bush. Then, lay the white polar ribbon in the Bowdabra and fold and twist it to make another bow. Repeat this one more time with the blue dot ribbon.
Finally, add the stuffed bear to the Bowdabra. Pull the wires through the loop and pull tight. Separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot and double knot. Fluff and shape the bow. You have an adorable baby boy door bow!
