With just a few common supplies young artists can make this Leprechaun Hat Magnet for St. Patrick’s Day.
Supplies that you’ll need:
- Scraps of black and gold or yellow craft paper
- Eight popsicle sticks (I used pre-colored sticks, but you could use paint or marker to color natural ones.)
- Recycled advertising magnet
- Glue
- Hat Band and Buckle Template
Let’s make the Leprechaun Hat Magnet:
- Using the Hat Band and Buckle Template as a pattern, cut out the hat band and buckle.
- Thread the hat band through the buckle. Set aside for now.
- Line seven popsicle sticks side-by-side making sure the bottoms are even.
- Glue the last stick on top of the others about ¾” from the bottom.
- Glue the hat band and buckle in place as shown in the picture.
- When the glue from Steps 4 and 5 is dry, turn the hat over and glue the recycled advertising magnet to the back.
- Your magnet is ready to hold important papers in place!!
