Why just add your gift to a plain old gift bag? Bowdabra designer, Joette shows you two easy ways to embellish gift bag wrapping to make them extra special.
What do you do once you get all of your Christmas shopping done? Do you wait until the last minute to wrap all of those gifts? Gift bags are always a lifesaver for me. I will wrap larger boxes with wrapping paper too, but I like my gifts to be wrapped with a lot of presentation to go with that present inside!
Here are a couple of quick tricks I like to use to speed up my wrapping time, while still making them look fancy! Oh, not to mention, you can find the main supplies you’ll need for these wrapping tips at a Dollar Store! I’m Joette from the Bowdabra Design Team, and I hope you find these tips helpful.
1 package of multi-patterned tissue paper
Large Bowdabra
Bowdabra Bow Wire
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Then, separate different colors of tissue paper. Next, place them in the Bowdabra one at a time. Use the Bowdabra wand to scrunch down the layers of tissue paper.
Thread the loose wires through the loop for the slipknot and remove them from the Bowdabra. Tie a knot in the back. Tie it to the handles on the gift bag or staple it on.
12 (or more) coffee filters
1 loose berry with a stem
Large Bowdabra
Bowdabra Bow Wire
Add the Bowdabra wire to the Bowdabra as you did before. Next, fold the coffee filters in half and cut them around for a scalloped look. Now, scrunch each coffee filer in the Bowdabra one at a time. Then, add the berries. Tie it tight with the slipknot and tie a knot in the back. Fluff the flower and add it to your gift bag.
