Bowdabra holiday pillow
Materials:
- Pillow – 15″
- Velvet ribbon – 2.5″, 20′
- Fabric Tape (double sided)
- Scissors
- Bowdabra and Wand
- Bowdabra Bow Wire
First, measure a strip of ribbon around the pillow with the ends overlapping at the center of the pillow. Place a strip of double-sided fabric tape on top of one ribbon end.
Attach another strip of ribbon in the opposite direction (criss-cross) using fabric tape
To make the Bowdabra bow:
Cut an 18″ piece of Bowdabra Bow Wire and fold it in half. Lay the bow wire into the Bowdabra. You’ll have a loop at one end and two loose wires at the opposite end. Tuck ends under. Leave the 2.5″ ribbon on the roll, and creasing the ribbon end placing the velvet side down into the Bowdabra.
To make the first loop, make a fold creating a five-inch loop, twisting the ribbon and pressing it down into the Bowdabra.
Make a five-inch loop on the opposite side, twisting the ribbon down into the Bowdabra.
Continue, folding and twisting loops on each side, down into the Bowdabra until you have six 5″ loops on each side. Scrunch down the bow loops with the Bowdabra Wand.
While the bow is still in the Bowdabra, thread the loose ends of the bow wire through the loop and pull tightly while gently pulling the bow out. Take the wire around to the back of the bow and tie in a double knot, cutting off excess bow wire.
Fluff and smooth out the loops of the bow.
Add a couple of strips of fabric tape to the center of the ribbon on the pillow . . .
and attach the bow.
Perfect for the holiday season!
