This adorable pom pom Christmas reindeer decoration is a snap to make using the Mini Bowdabra.
You only need a few supplies:
- Mini Bowdabra Bow Making and Design Tool
- 15″ length Bowdabra bow wire
- Brown yarn
- Template for antlers
- Red pom pom for nose
- Glue or hot glue
Let’s make the Pom Pom Christmas Reindeer:
- Fold the bow wire in half, and place between the Mini Bowdabra pillars. Tuck the ends of the wire under the Mini Bowdabra to keep them out of the way.
- Place the end of yarn in the Mini Bowdabra.
- Wind the yarn around the pillars. You want the yarn to be nice and plump—the more yarn you wrap, the fatter your pom pom will be. The length of yarn that you wrap will vary depending on the weight of the yarn. Finer yarns require more wraps.
- When you’re finished wrapping the yarn, with it still in the Mini Bowdabra, pass the wire ends through the loop, and tighten. Tie a knot. Trim the wire ends.
- You may need to give your pom pom a haircut to even out the shape.
- Print the antler template and cut the antlers out of brown cardstock. There are four sizes of antlers, so select the one that you like best for your pom pom.
- Glue the antlers and nose in place.
