Sandy Sandler shows you how to make a beautiful butterfly bow. It is so easy to make this bow to use on wreaths, gift packages, birthdays, and more. Just vary the colors for seasons or events!
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, using two colors of ribbon and working with them together, find the center and lay in the Bowdabra for the tails. Bowdabra has a wide variety of premium-quality ribbons at great prices!
Now, take two more lengths of the same ribbons and placing them together lay the ends in the Bowdabra. Then, make a loop and twist so that the wrong side is on the inside, and make a matching loop on the other side. Hold the loops up to measure that they are about the same size.
Next, continue to make a loop but just a little smaller than the previous loop. Twist and make an exact loop on the opposite side.
Now, for the third two loops make them shorter than the previous ones as well.
Finally, with the remaining ribbon make a small loop in the center smaller than the last loops. Cut off any excess ribbon that is left over. This is how you make a butterfly bow.
Now, scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security.
Shape and arrange your butterfly bow.
