Craft your own sparkly loopy hair bow using the Mini Bowdabra! It’s such a simple way to decorate your hairstyle! And it’s sure to be a conversation piece with everyone wanting to make one! Here’s how!
How to make a sparkly loop hair bow
Gather:
- Mini Bowdabra, Ruler Tool and Wand
- Bowdabra Bow Wire
- 1.5″ & 5/8″ Ribbon
- Beads (6)
- Fabric Glue
- Hair clip
Instructions:
First, begin by cutting an 18” piece of Bowdabra Bow Wire and folding it in half. Lay it into the Mini Bowdabra. You’ll have a loop at one end and two loose pieces at the opposite end. Tuck ends under. Leave the 5/8″ ribbon on the roll, and crease the end down into the Mini Bowdabra.
Now, to make the first loop, make a fold at the three inch mark, twisting the ribbon since the design in on one side, and pressing down into the Mini Bowdabra. Fold the other side at the same three inch length, twisting and creasing down into the Mini Bowdabra.
Then, continue folding, twisting and creasing ribbon down into the Mini Bowdabra to make two more loops on each side for a total of six loops.
Next, take the 1.5″ ribbon, creasing the end down into the Mini Bowdabra. Make a loop the same length as the smaller loops, twisting and creasing the ribbon down into the Mini Bowdabra. Make a loop the same length on the opposite side creasing in the center down into the Mini Bowdabra. Cut off excess ribbon and scrunch all the loops down into the Mini Bowdabra using the Mini Bowdabra Wand.
While the bow is still in the Mini Bowdabra, thread the two loose ends of the bow wire through the loop, pulling tightly and tie in a knot and gently pull bow out.
Add the beads
Then cut a piece of the wider ribbon, five inches long, folding the sides together to wrap around the middle of the bow, sealing with glue for a finishing knotTo insert the bead into the loop, coat the inside of the loop at the curve with fabric glue.
Place the bead inside the loop and hold together until secure.
Insert the other five beads in each loop for a fabulous decorative look!
Finishing your hair bow
Finally, insert a hair clip in the back of the bow to spice up your hairstyle with this beautiful sparkly loopy hair bow.
