Today Bowdabra creator, Sandy Sandler shows you how easy it is to make this adorable upcycled jeans wall organizer. Who doesn’t have an old pair of jeans laying around gathering dust? Use it to make this useful addition to your home décor!
Materials:
Wall hanger
2-Upcycled Denim Jean Pockets
2-12 inch strips of upcycled denim
Acrylic paint in black and white
Paintbrush
Mini Bowdabra
Bowdabra Bow Wire
Acrylic flower
Instructions:
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Make the bow
Now, take the denim strip and feed it into the Mini Bowdabra from the top like an accordion to make a scrunchy bow. Scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then add the acrylic flower. Repeat to make a second bow.
Next, thread the loose wires through the loop to make a slip knot and pull tight while the Bow is still in the Bowdabra. Separate the ends, bring them around to the back, and tie a couple of knots. Clip the ends and put them aside.
Then, take the jean pockets and using hot glue attach them to your wall hanger. Repeat with the second pocket.
Now, glue the scrunchy bows to the corners of each of the pockets. Hang your upcycled jeans wall pocket in any area of your home and fill it with your choice of items like pens, nail files, and even small notepads.
