Sandy Sandler, the creator of the Bowdabra is here today to show you how to make an inspirational hair bow holder. This hair bow holder would make a great back to school gift. Include an inspirational message and some chalk to change the message as desired. Additionally, you can create some small hair bows and add them to the gift.
First, take the hanging chalk board and turn it to the back. Using a hot glue gun, adhere three burlap ribbon strips to the back. Set aside.
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, add the boa into the Mini Bowdabra.
Then, take pieces of polka dot ribbons and dovetail the ends. To dovetail, fold the ribbon in half and cut at an angle away from the fold. Quickly run a lighter over the dovetailed ends to keep them from fraying. Lay them into the Bowdabra.
Now, scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back, and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security.
Use the glue gun to add a gem to the center of the Bow. Then, glue the bow to the corner of the front of the chalkboard.
