How to make an inexpensive holiday wreath with a fancy bow
Materials:
- Bowdabra bow maker
- Bowdabra bow wire
- 1-10″x14″ Deco Mesh – (silver)
- 2- Glitter branches (10″ with stems)
- 3 Picks – 1 ornament 1 pinecone 1 poinsettia
- 2 strips – Morex – Silver Ribbon 2″x36″
Instructions:
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, lay in a piece of silver deco mesh. Then lay in the glitter branches as well.
Now, lay in one of the picks. Then, take the gleem ribbon and snowflake ribbone working together and place it in the Bowdabra. Fold and twist back and forth making loops for the bow. Make sure that the right side of the ribbon is facing on the outside of the loops.
Now, take the other two picks and lay them in the Bowdabra. Then, scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Now, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security.
Finally, use the excess wire to tie the bow to the wreath. If you tie it in a bow you can always remove it to use it as a gift bow, etc.
Fluff and arrange the bow and the picks and you have a gorgeous and inexpensive holiday wreath!
