Recycle toilet paper rolls to make these fabulous patriotic napkin rings.
Here’s the supplies that you’ll need:
- Toilet paper rolls (one roll = three napkin rings)
- Stars template
- Red, white, and blue yarn
- White cardstock
- White glue
- Scissors
- Red and blue markers
- Scotch tape
Let’s make a napkin ring:
- Print the stars template and cut out the stars. Set the stars aside for now.
- Divide the toilet roll into thirds.
- Cut the toilet roll into segments following measurements.
- Tape the beginning end of yarn to the inside of one of the toilet roll napkin rings.
- Wrap the yarn around the napkin ring. The amount of yarn you need depends on the type of yarn you are using and how snuggly you wrap the yarn. I used about 14′ of acrylic worsted weight yarn for each napkin ring.
- Use white glue to glue the end tail to the inside of the ring.
- Secure the glued end with a binder clip or paper clip until the glue is dry. Trim any long ends.
- Glue the stars you cut out in Step 1 onto the napkin ring.
- So the stars show up on the white napkin ring, outline them with red and blue marker.
- Enjoy your Patriotic Napkin Rings!!
