Sandy Sandler, the creator of the Bowabra shows you how to make this sweet little patriotic ponytail holder in minutes. What a great way to show your patriotic pride on Memorial Day, July 4th, or any day. Also super as a cheerleader bow. So, let’s get started:
First cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Now, begin creating your scrunchy bow. Using the red tulle scrunch down into the Bowdabra from the top like you would an accordion. Make sure you stay in the middle of the tulle as you scrunch down. Continue, till you have used your length of tulle.
Next, repeat this scrunching technique with the length of white tulle.
Finally, scrunch in your blue tulle. Now, push everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Add your patriotic rose.
To finish, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security. Tie the bow to a ponytail elastic and double knot. Clip all the excess ends.
Now, fluff out an arrange you bow. Perfect patriotic pontail holder for any patriotic event!
