Instructions:
First, place the hair bow tool and ruler on the Mini Bowdabra. The hair bow tool and ruler have measurements of inches on one side and centimeters on the other side. For this tutorial, Sandy has placed the centimeter side up.
Now, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, using the smallest piece of zebra ribbon, which has already been dovetailed, find the center and lay it in the Bowdabra. Repeat this step with the striped ribbon. Then add the swiss dot ribbon piece.
Make the boutique-style bow
Now, make a boutique-style ribbon with the longer piece of zebra ribbon. Find the center and place the right side of the ribbon down into the Bowdabra. Next, take one end of the ribbon bring it over, and scrunch that right side down into the Bowdabra. Then, bring the other end over the first loop which forms a sort of X shape, and lay that in the Bowdabra. Now, push the lower ribbon in first, then push the top one and you have a boutique bow. Scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand.
Now, take the short piece of striped ribbon and lay it in the Bowdabra right side down. Then, bring the ribbon across and lay the other end the right side down. Now push down in the middle. Use the Bowdabra wand to scrunch everything down.
Finally, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security. Take a small piece of swiss dot ribbon and tie a knot in the center. Glue that on your bow with the knot on the center and tie it to your ponytail elastic.
