Video DIY how to create a beautiful patriotic tulle swag with Bowdabra

Sandy Sandler, the creator of the Bowdabra is here today to show you how to easily create a beautiful patriotic tulle swag. Tulle can be tough to work with but is easy with the help of the Bowdabra.  Bowdabra holds your tulle snuggly while you create awesome bows.

Materials:

• Bowdabra
• Bowdabra bow wire
• Blue tulle 6.5 ft x 6”
• Red tulle 6.5 ft x 6”
• White tule 6.5 ft x 6”
• Blue tulle 31” x 6”
• Red tulle 31” x 6”
• White tulle 31” x 6”
• Patriotic silk roses

Instructions:

First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire.  Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra.  You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side.  This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.

Next, take each of the shorter pieces of tulle in white, red, blue. Fold them in half to find the center and lay them in the Bowdabra one at a time. They will be the tails for your swag.

Next, take the roses and lay them into the Bowdabra.  Face them in different directions as shown.

Now, place all the longer pieces of the tulle colors together.  Lay the end of the sandwiched tulle strips into the Bowdabra.  Then make loops back and forth to form a bow.  When you reach the end, fold inward and lay into the Bowdabra.

Finishing your patriotic tulle swag

Now scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand.  Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back and tie a knot.  Tie a double knot for extra security.

You will now have a beautiful and patriotic tulle swag, or you can use it as a centerpiece or even add it to a wreath!  Possibilities are endless!
