Today Bowdabra is sharing four easy ways to make DIY bows & wreaths. There are many different ways to make DIY ribbon bows and wreaths; however, this one is the easiest. Follow the step-by-step instructions and craft these easy DIY bows & wreaths in 5 minutes!
DIY Funky Bow (Starts At 1:52)
Materials required:
- 100-yard Bowdabra bow wire
- Large Bowdabra
- 2 ½” Black/White Striped Ribbon Roll
Process:
- Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
- He creates one loop with the black/white striped ribbon, cuts it off, and places it right into the Bowdabra.
- In the same fashion, he creates 4 more loops on the Bowdabra.
- He secures the bow with several wire knots in the back and finishes off by fluffing the loops and cutting the dovetail pattern on the tail ends.
DIY Traditional Bow (Starts At 8:00)
Materials required:
- 100-yard Bowdabra bow wire
- Large Bowdabra
- 2 ½” Black/White Striped Ribbon Roll
Process:
- Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
- He cuts off the tails from the black/white striped ribbon roll.
- He takes the ribbon, flips it inside out, places it on the Bowdabra, and creates 10 loops (4 ½” – 5”).
- Next, he pulls the bow wire from one end to the other and ties the bow.
- He takes the tails, places them in the back & ties it off.
- He finishes off by fluffing the loops.
Classic DIY Bow Wreath (Starts At 13:40)
Materials Required:
- 100-Yard Bowdabra Bow Wire
- Large Bowdabra
- Green Burlap Ribbon Roll
- 18” Grapevine Wreath
- Sunflower Stem with Leaves sprays/picks
- Greenery Picks
- Blue Cornflower Picks
- Hot Glue
Process:
- Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
- After cutting off the long tails (20” – 22” long on either side) from the green burlap ribbon roll, he places them right into the Bowdabra.
- He takes the ribbon, flips it inside out, places it on the Bowdabra, and creates 9 loops (3 ½” – 4”).
- He secures the bow with several wire knots in the back and finishes off by fluffing the loops.
- In the end, he sticks the bow securely to the wreath and adds some decorative sunflower stems with leaves sprays, greenery picks and blue cornflower picks with hot glue.
DIY Long Tail Bow (Starts At 24:34)
Materials required:
- 100-yard Bowdabra bow wire
- Mini Bowdabra
- Green Net Glitter Wired Ribbon Roll
Process:
- Nick folds the bow wire in half and tucks it underneath the Bowdabra.
- He takes the ribbon, flips it inside out, places it on the Bowdabra, and creates 4 loops.
- Now, he creates 4 more comparatively smaller loops and 1 button loop.
- He secures the bow with several wire knots in the back.
- Next, he cuts off the tails and attaches them to the bow with the wire.
