How to make a super Easy Bowdabra-Dollar Tree St. Patty’s Day Swag

Bowdabra designer, Joette shows you how to make a super easy Bowdabra St. Patty’s Day swag using supplies from Dollar Tree.  It is so easy and so beautiful you will be amazed at the result!

How to make a super easy Bowdabra St. Patty’s Day swag

Supplies:

• 2 Dollar Tree Shamrock Bushes
• Dollar Tree Carnation Bush
• 1 Flat Fern or Flat Leaf Bush (or 5 loose stems)
• 1 Dollar Tree St. Patty’s Scarf
• 1 Wooden St. Patty’s Day Wreath
• 3 Zip Ties or Bowdabra Wire
• Large Bowdabra

Instructions:

First, place the zip tie or Bowdabra wire in large Bowdabra. Add the 5 flat ferns to the Bowdabra.

Next, on the opposite side of the Bowdabra, place the 2 shamrock bushes in place. (You may want to trim some of the stems off the bushes used.)  Then, add in the carnation bush.

Make the bow

Now, make a bow with the scarf. Tie off the swag, fluff, and shape. Fan out the top half with the flat ferns & cascade the bottom half. Take the shamrock wreath & place it in the fanned-out flat ferns. Leave 3 in the back and 1 on each side in the front of the wreath.

Take 2 zip ties or Bowdabra wire, carefully hide them in the greenery & secure the swag to the wreath. Give everything another good fluffing and shape… And you’re done!

You may need to take off about 5” of the carnations to get them to cascade better if you don’t get them pushed up high enough in the Bowdabra. It’s easy, just pull off the carnation head & trim the stem. Then simply place the head back onto the newly sized stem.
