Get ready for Mardi Gras this year by decorating your home with raffia pom pom flowers! You can easily make these adorable pom poms in traditional carnival colors – gold, purple, and green using your Mini Bowdabra! And then turn them into flowers just by adding floral stem wire. How cool is that! What a perfect complement to any Mardi Gras decor!

Instructions:
First, cut an 18-inch length of raffia for tying in one of the Mardi Gras colors. Then fold together, and place in the Mini Bowdabra, tucking ends under.
Next, place the end of the same color raffia from the roll down into the Mini Bowdabra, leaving the raffia on the roll. Begin wrapping the raffia around the Mini Bowdabra tower.
at least eighty times. Be sure to use the Bowdabra wand while wrapping to scrunch down the raffia and to keep it from coming off the tower.
End wrapping by placing the raffia strand down across the slot into the Mini Bowdabra and cutting off excess raffia. Then lift the first two strands up tying the raffia as tight as you can while . . .

Then grab the middle of the cut loops to fluff into a ball while . . .
trimming the ends using scissors.
And finally, add hot glue to the end of a floral stem wire and insert it into the center of the pom pom to complete the flower.
