How to make a super cute spring rosette wreath

Materials needed:
  • 1 10” Wire Wreath Form
  • 1 Spring colored Dollar Tree Scarf
  • 2 yards of a matching Spring Ribbon
  • Three 1-yard strips of a satin solid color ribbon (Preferably 1” width.)
  • Large Bowdabra
  • Bowdabra Wire

Instructions:

First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire.  Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra.  You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side.  This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the ends under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.

Now, wrap the scarf around the wreath form. In the large Bowdabra, make a bow using the Spring ribbon.

Next, take the 1-yard strips of ribbon and find the centers. Fold them in a crisscross manner.

Now, take one end and fold it under the triangle shape you just made. Take the other end

and fold it under. You will now be simply making square shapes with the ribbon. Repeat this method until you come to the end.

Hold one end tightly & pull the other one until you have formed a rosette. (If you continue to pull, you will pull it apart.) Set aside. Leave the ribbon long for tails.  Make two more rosettes.

Make the bow

Next, cut one short piece of the spring ribbon and dovetail the ends. Lay it into the Bowdabra. To dovetail, fold the ribbon in half and cut at an angle away from the fold. Now, take a longer piece of the same ribbon, fold it in half to find the center.  Lay it in the Bowdabra and make a loop, bring the ribbon across and make another matching loop to make a bow.

Place the rosettes down in the Bowdabra on top of the Spring bow.

Now scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand.  Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back and tie a knot.  Tie a double knot for extra security.

Do not cut the wire. Using the remaining ends of the Bowdabra wire, tie the bow onto the scarf-covered wreath.
