Now that the holidays season is over, let’s start the new year off by making a perfect winter wreath or centerpiece styled using lots of pretty bows, garland, a styrofoam wreath, and of course, the Bowdabra!
First, wrap glitzy garland around a styrofoam wreath until . . .
it’s completely covered. This garland is especially pretty with hanging foil snowflakes!
Cut an 18″ piece of Bowdabra Bow Wire, folding in half and placing in the Bowdabra, tucking ends under. Leave the 2.5″ wide ribbon on the roll and crease the end of the ribbon, placing the print side down into the Bowdabra.
To make the first loop, make a fold creating a five-inch loop, twisting the ribbon and pressing it down into the Bowdabra.
Next, fold and twist the other side ribbon at the same length, creasing down into the Bowdabra.
Then lift up the loops along the Bowdabra tower to make sure they’re even in size.
Continue, folding and twisting loops on each side, down into the Bowdabra until you have three 5″ loops on each side.
Scrunch down the bow loops with the Bowdabra Wand.
While the bow is still in the Bowdabra, thread the loose ends of the bow wire through the loop and pull tightly while gently pulling the bow out.
Then take the wire around to the back of the bow and tie in a double knot.
For a decorative look, tuck together the center ribbon end into a knot
Next, use the bow wire to tie a floral pin onto the back of the bow and . . .
insert the finished bow into the garland and styrofoam.
Continue making five more bows for a total of . . .
six bows inserted into the garland and styrofoam.
Fluff and smooth out the loops of the bows for a perfect winter wreath or centerpiece!
