How to make a mini Christmas tree centerpiece
Go to a Christmas tree lot or farm and get yourself some of the trimmed/trashed boughs. Try and get enough to at least fill up a leaf bag most of the way. (You may have enough to make 2 trees.)
First, trim off the nicest tips of each branch, you will need them to taper down in sizes. Next, soak a brick of oasis in some water while you’re trimming the branches. Find a container that will hold the oasis securely, standing up on its end such as an oasis bowl. I used a wide-mouth stein here.
Now, take the soaked oasis, place it down in its container and shave it down to a Christmas Tree shape. Once shaped, start from the bottom, adding the larger branches. Keep doing this, gradually down-sizing each layer you add until you reach the top of the tree. Then decorate as desired!
