Materials:
- Bowdabra bow maker
- Bowdabra gold bow wire
- Two gleam wired ribbon gold, 13” tail
- Two Burlap wired ribbon 13” tail
- Burlap wired ribbon orange 13” tail
- Gleam wired ribbon gold 1 yard, 17”
- Burlap wired ribbon orange 1 yard, 17”
- 3 ½” tubular mesh gold
- 4 ½” tubular mesh gold
- 7 ½” tubular mesh gold
- 7” tubular mesh gold
Instructions:
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the end under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, take two tails together, that you have already dovetailed the ends. To dovetail, fold the ribbon in half and cut at an angle away from the fold. Now take the gleam-wired ribbon in gold, and the burlap-wired ribbon and lay them together in the Bowdabra. Repeat this step again with the other two pieces of ribbon tails placing them at opposite angles in the Bowdabra.
Now, take the two longer 17” pieces of gold and orange ribbon and working with them together lay the right side facing down into the Bowdabra. To make a multi-loop bow bring the ribbon across and scrunch down. Continue making loops back and forth twisting and scrunching down into the Bowdabra. Make sure the right sides are always facing upwards.
Finally, add all the tubular mesh pieces and scrunch down with the Bowdabra wand.
Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security. Fluff and arrange your bow and use the excess wire to attach to the wreath. You can alternately glue the bow to a wreath, or use it as a centerpiece or door bow.
