I found an old cheese grater that was heading to the recycle bin and grabbed it up thinking I could do something with this.
First, make the decision as to what color you want. Remember, you don’t have to paint the whole thing only the side that will be on view.
Start with some brown paint but if you want a little more color and interest add some yellow texture paint.
Next, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire, fold it in half, and lay it in the Bowdabra. This will be the slip knot.
While the paint drys make the bow. One of the great things I love about Bowdabra is you can try different ribbons and if you don’t like the combination you just try again, which is what I did.
I didn’t like the way the plain ribbon looked so I removed it and just stuck with the plaid black and orange ribbon. Start layering and making loops in the ribbon to make the bow. . Once you make the bow pull the wire through the loop. Turn to the back and tie a knot. The first bow is done.
Once you have the bow where you want it, start adding some fall flowers. No need to fasten them on since you have many holes you can stick them through. The flowers stay nicely in place. Add a flower to the top of the ribbon by just sticking it through the loop of the bow. When it gets closer to Halloween you can add something different on the top. You have a beautiful fall decor piece!
