How to make a lovely Quinceanera bow or gift bow
Materials:
- Bowdabra
- Bowdabra bow wire
- Two pieces of sparkle mesh 6” x 16”
- Two pieces of dotted tulle mesh 5” x 16”
- Sparkle mesh 6” x 32”
- Dotted tulle mesh 5” x 30”
- Small floral pick
Instructions:
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the end under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Using a piece of sparkle mesh which you have already dovetailed the ends, lay it in the Bowdabra. (To dovetail, fold the ribbon in half and cut at an angle towards the fold.)
Next, take the dotted tulle and lay that into the Bowdabra. Follow that by laying the second piece of sparkle mesh, and then, the dotted tulle into the Bowdabra.
Now, take the longer piece of sparkle mesh, and from the top insert into the Bowdabra like an accordion to make a scrunchy bow.
Then, take the longer piece of dotted tulle mesh and repeat the process for another scrunchy bow. Next, lay in the floral pick.
Now, scrunch everything down with the Bowdabra wand. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Then, remove the bow from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back and tie a knot. Tie a double knot for extra security.
Fluff and arrange all the loops. This bow is super elegant for any party or event and even lovely as a gift bow.
