Watch this super easy video DIY as Sandy Sandler, the creator of the Bowdabra shows you how you can make this pretty spring time door swag. In minutes you will have a beautiful door swag to brighten up your home this spring!
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the end under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, Scrunch the purple mesh into the Bowdabra. Keep scrunching it in till your reach the end and fold it over. Then, take the Bowdabra wand and scrunch everything down.
Now, take the smaller piece of yellow spring ribbon (which you have already dovetailed the ends) and fold it in half to find the center, and insert it into the Bowdabra.
Next, take the larger piece of yellow ribbon and insert the wrong side of the ribbon down, and fold the other end of the ribbon over and tuck that in the Bowdabra. Then push in the center of the ribbon.
For the next step, take the yellow gingham ribbon and insert the right side down, bring the other end across and push in the Bowdbra. Come to the center and insert into the Bowdabra. Take the two pieces of purple gingham ribbon and insert them into the Bowdabra going in different directions. (tails)
Finally, add the yellow flower to the center. Next, use the Bowdabra wand to push down all the ribbon and picks. Then, take the two loose wires and put it through the loop, and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Remove from the Bowdabra, separate the ends, turn to the back and tie a knot. Double knot it.
Shape and fluff all the bows and tails and you have a gorgeous springtime door swag!
