Watch and learn as Sandy Sandler, the creator of the Bowdabra shows you how to make this stunningly simple door swag in minutes.
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Then, fold it in half and insert it into the Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one side and two loose wires on the other side. This will serve as your slipknot. Tuck the end under to stay out of the way while you are making your bow.
Next, lay one of the rose picks in the Bowdabra. Then, lay in the leaf pick. Now take the second rose and place it into the Bowdabra just a little bit higher than the other rose. This is because the roses will hang down on the finished door swag
Now, take the wired ribbon which you have already dovetailed the ends. (To dovetail fold the ribbon in half and cut at an angle towards the fold) Lay the ribbon in the Bowdabra. Fold and twist to create loops on each side. (Note: If you run out of ribbon with the Bowdabra you can continue by just adding another piece!) Continue making loops till the bow is as big as you want it to be.
Next, lay in the blue wired ribbon which you have already dovetailed the ends. Now, use the Bowdabra wand to scrunch down everything.
Then, insert the longer piece of blue wired ribbon into the Bowdabra folding and twisting to create loops as you did before.
Now, take the blue sheer ribbon and lay it into the Bowdabra. Fold and twist to make loops a little bit smaller than the previous ones. Again, scrunch everything in with the Bowdabra wand.
To finish, take the two loose wires and insert them through the wire loop creating a slipknot. Pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Turn to the back and tie a knot and double knot it. Finally, fluff and arrange the bow, leaving the roses hanging down. You can attach it to a wreath or just use it as a simple door swag!
