I actually hate wearing masks but if I have to, I may as well #abrabowdabra mine. It’s so easy to make this little removable pin to add a little extra something to a plain mask. I used a mini rose in the center, but you can add any sort of bauble, cabochon, or charm. For fun, variations change the colors of the tulle to match your mask. Why settle for the ordinary? Embellish your mask the Bowdabra way!
First, cut a piece of Bowdabra bow wire and fold it in half. Lay it into the Bowdabra. You will have two loose wires on one side and a loop on the other. This will be your slipknot.
Now, take the tulle and insert it into the Bowdabra facing up. Fold into the Bowdabra like an accordion until you have reached the end. Then, insert the loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Remove from the Bowdabra. Separate the ends, turn to the back and tie a knot. Fluff your bow around and trim if necessary to form a rosette.
Scrunch down with the Bowdabra wand.
Add the embellishment to the center of your tulle rosette. Cut the mini rose close to the bud and using a hot glue gun, attach to the center.
Turn the rosette to the back and glue a mini pin back or safety pin. Attach to your mask either in the upper right or bottom corner and remove to wash your mask.
Make these in all colors and with various embellishments
