Materials Needed:

                                                                How to Make the Crown

The crown is made using six chenille stems and twenty-four beads. I got both the stems and beads from the Dollar Tree. Whatever beads you decide to use, keep in mind that the holes on the beads should be large enough for two stems to go through.

Begin by taking each of the six stems and fold in half. Then insert a bead pushing it to the center, twisting the bead and stem a couple of times.

You can line the beaded stems up side by side if you want.

Then take the right and left stem side of two different folded bead stems and cross the stems about 1 1/2″ down from the bead.

Then, twist the stems two or three times to secure. Continue crossing the opposite stems at the same level until all of the six stems are connected. Then take the end stems and cross them together at the same level – twisting together to close for the crown.

Next, grab the connected stems together and insert a bead up to where the stems were twisted together.

Insert the remaining stems together into the five beads and push up to the twisted mark. Make sure all the beads are evenly placed.

Next, to make the crown narrower, measure about 3/4″ down along the stems, crossing the opposite stems and twisting together a couple of times. Do this for all six stems, as before – pressing the two stems together –

to insert into the beads and moving the beads up to the twisted area.
Continue repeating steps for the next row, measuring about 1/2″ down, this time, crossing stems over and twisting. Then inserting into beads and pushing beads up to where stems are twisted together.

To Finish The Bottom of the Crown

Take one right stem and raise horizontally to the two stems on the right and twist together. Then twist those together to the next two, and so forth, moving to the right, around –

creating a circular shape – to close the bottom of the crown.

To make the tulle pouf:

Cut an 18″ strip of Bowdabra bow wire, fold together and place down into the Mini Bowdabra, tucking ends under. Then cut off two yards of tulle and holding the sides evenly, insert into the Mini Bowdabra and begin scrunching the tulle down into the slot tower . . .

until all of the tulle is inserted into the Mini Bowdabra. Use the Mini Bowdabra Wand to scrunch the tulle down and making it fluffy. Then lift up the bow wire and thread the two loose ends of the wire through the loop at the other end pulling tightly, tie in a double knot, cutting off excess bow wire. Fluff tulle into a circular design.

Next, use the bottom of the crown to draw and cut out a decorative disk – to add to the center of the pouf. Apply glue around the edges . . .

and insert crown into the center of tulle on top of the disk.
