Pom poms are so trendy right now and fun for the holidays! Did you know you can easily make pom poms out of just about any type of material using your Mini Bowdabra! The Bowdabra is such a versatile tool and you can make so many different types of pom poms using it! Sounds cool, doesn’t it! How about a ribbon pom pom elf ornament? This is so adorable and just in time for Christmas! So let’s get started!
Materials:
Fold the ribbon together and begin wrapping it tightly around the Mini Bowdabra tower . . .
round and round until you’ve wrapped the entire roll of three yards.
Gently lift up the bow wire and thread the two loose ends of the wire through the loop at the other end pulling tightly, tie in a double knot.
Remove the wrapped tied ribbon from the Mini Bowdabra, making sure the bow wire is tightly knotted, securing the ribbon at the center.
Insert the blade of heavy-duty scissors into the middle of the ribbon loop and cut.
Repeat cutting the opposite ribbon loop . . .
then fluff and trim edges into a round shape.
Tie the Bowdabra bow wire into a loop for hanging.
To make the elf top, cut a 4″ circle out of felt – cutting out a slice shape from the circle.
Roll into a cone shape, adding glue to one edge to seal into a hat.
Attach hat to the wood ball. Glue mini pom pom to tip of the hat. Draw eyes using black marker onto the wood ball and glue onto the center of the ribbon pom pom . . .
for an adorable Pom Pom Elf Ornament!
