Have I got a fun way to hold and display bows using string lights with clips with these easy Bow Holder Clip Lights! How cool to just clip on your bows to show them off with a decorative lighted bow holder!
It’s such a great design trick to add more interest to a plain bedroom wall! The string lights have clips that are attached to tiny lights! And the best part, instead of buying clip string lights, you can make your own by attaching clear clothespins to a regular set of lights at the top of where the lights are! Imagine having your bows enhanced by lights and the fun atmosphere they create!
And for decorative purposes using the Mini Bowdabra to make bows to match your decor, or celebrations and attach them to the clips on the string lights! Here’s how:
Materials
Mini Bowdabra, Measuring Tool, Wand
Bowdabra Bow Wire
Ribbon – 2.5″ wide wired
Clip string lights
Scissors
Insert an 18″ piece of bow wire folded in half into the Mini Bowdabra, tucking ends under. Then take a 10″ strip of ribbon and dovetail the ends by folding the ends together and cutting at an angle from the fold down to the opposite end. Pinch the ribbon strip in the middle and insert down into the Mini Bowdabra for the bow tails.
Next, take another 10″ strip of ribbon, pinching one end and placing it down into the Mini Bowdabra.Take the end of the ribbon and fold over at the 3″ mark on the ruler creating a loop. Twist the ribbon down into the Mini Bowdabra smoothing the ribbon out.
Then, fold over the ribbon at the 3″ mark creating a loop on the opposite side. Use the Mini Bowdabra wand to crunch down the fabric and bow.
While the bow is still in the Mini Bowdabra, thread the two loose ends of the bow wire through the loop, pulling tightly while gently pulling the bow out.
Tie bow wire around to the back cutting off excess wire. Then fluff the bow!
Have fun clipping bows . . .
