Hey everyone, I’m Simply Shalese, here to make something awesome with you guys! Today we will be making an adorable fall burlap ribbon centerpiece. Let’s get started!
Burlap Ribbon in 3 colors of your choice – 8 inches in length
Wire Wreath Form – 8-inch diameter
Chenille Stems
Mason Jar
Scissors
Take your chenille stem and cut it in half. Place it in the center of the Bowdabra. Take your first piece of ribbon and fold it in half to find the center. Then scrunch the ribbon. I prefer a uniform scrunch so you fold the ribbon in half, bring the front and back up and place it in the center of the Bowdabra.
Repeat the same steps with the other two pieces of ribbon. I decided to go with three pieces of ribbon in each bundle. You can definitely add more or less, it’s completely up to you. Once you have all of your ribbons in place, use your wand to scrunch everything together.
Take your chenille stem and cross one end over the other. Pull it nice and tight and carefully remove it from the Bowdabra. Pull the chenille stems to the back of the bundle and twist the chenille stem a few times.
Repeat this step for all of your bundles. I prefer to alternate the three colors so that the bundles look more fun but you can definitely make more uniform bundles if you prefer to do so.
Once you have all of your bundles created, it’s time to finally start placing them on your wreath ring. You have the option of using only the outer ring or you can alternate between the inner and outer ring. If you want to make a wider centerpiece, then use only the outer ring.
Take your first bundle and place it on the outer two rings. The next bundle will be placed on the inner two rings. Just continue to alternate back and forth all the way around the ring. I decided to place 5 bundles in each of my three sections for a total of 15 bundles. This makes a decent-sized centerpiece but you can add more or fewer bundles if you chose to do so.
Once you’ve placed all of your bundles, you are able to adjust and maneuver the bundles as much as you’d like.
For the final touch, add your mason jar or whatever glassware you choose to the center. And you are all done. So simple and easy to make. You can place flowers, candy, or whatever decor you’d like!
