Here’s a cool floral design I’m sure you will love, using wired ribbon to create this gorgeous ruffle ribbon and bow wreath!
To Make, you will need:
2.5″ wired ribbon – two rolls
12″ Willow wreath (Dollar Tree)
Push pins
Hot Glue Gun
Bowdabra and Bowdabra Wand
Bowdabra Bow Wire
Faux florals
Let’s start with a 9ft roll of 2.5″ wide wired ribbon. Begin by gently pulling the wire out of one side of the ribbon to create the ruffles. Wrap the wire as you pull to keep it together. It took nine feet of wired ribbon to make a ruffle to fit around the willow wreath.
Next, secure the ruffle ribbon on the wreath using push pins, adjusting the ribbon to fit. Once satisfied with the look, attach the ruffle to the willow wreath using a hot glue gun.
Start by folding a 18″ length of bow wire in half and place in the Bowdabra, tucking ends under. Next, cut a 20″ strip of ribbon pinching it in the middle and inserting it down into the Bowdabra for the bow tails.
Then insert assorted matching faux florals into the Bowdabra, on opposite sides.
Next, leave the ribbon on the roll and crease the end and insert down into the Bowdabra. Then fold over a four inch loop, twist and press into the Bowdabra.
Fold and twist ribbon making a matching loop on opposite side, down into the Bowdabra.
After that, fold and twist another set of slightly smaller loops down into the Bowdabra. Then scrunch it all down using the Bowdabra wand.
While the bow and florals are still in the Bowdabra, thread the two loose ends of the bow wire through the loop, pulling tightly and tie in a knot at the back, gently pulling it out.
In addition, dovetail the ends by folding the ribbon together and cutting at an angle from the fold down to the corner tip.
Fluff and tie the floral bow onto the willow wreath using the bow wire.
And finally, step back and admire your lovely creation using the Bowdabra!
