If you are gathering with family and friends this holiday, a sweet thanksgiving candy favors will be a wonderful keepsake for your guests. They are super easy to make and fill with mini candy and a thankful message in each one. Then, add a cute little Bowdabra bow as a finishing touch!
First, gather all your supplies. Next, remove one side of the backing paper and attach an adhesive foam dot to the center of each bag. Remove the backing and attach the seasonal paper decor circle. Set aside.
Now, cut 10- inch long pieces of the 2 1/2″ wide ribbon. Cut as many pieces of ribbon as your bags. Next, cut an 18” piece of Bowdabra bow wire. Fold the wire in half and insert it into your Mini Bowdabra. You will have a loop on one end and two loose wires on the other.
Take one piece of ribbon and insert directly into the Mini Bowdabra from the top. The ribbon piles up like an accordion. Scrunch in the ribbon until you reach the end.
Scrunch down with the Bowdabra wand. Insert the two loose wires through the loop and pull tight while the bow is still in the Bowdabra. Remove it from the Bowdabra, turn to the back and tie a knot. Double knot it for security. Fluff out your bow rosette. Use the excess wire to tie the bow to the handle of the bag. Make a bow for each Thanksgiving candy favor.
You can use a pencil or the end of a small paintbrush to curl the wires for an extra decorative touch. Add some seasonal candy and if you choose a short Thanksgiving quote. Place the bags in a basket or at each place setting for your guests.
Fun extra: Add a date and name on each favor bag. Add a recipe for a favorite dish in the bag along with the candy.
