Okay, now we’re going to make this adorable spring hair bow. First, I’m going to get started by taking my Mini Bowdabra and my Bowdabra Bow Wire. Then, I’m just going to cut a piece of my Bowdabra Bow Wire and fold it in half and lay it down into my Mini Bowdabra. And I’m just going to tuck the ends underneath to keep out of the way while I make my hair bow.
Next, I’m going to take a piece of pink grosgrain ribbon and I’m going to fold it in half. You can see I just cut an angle on the tails. So, I’m just going to take the center and just scrunch that down into my Mini Bowdabra and just let the tails just kind of hang down.
Then, I’m going to take my wired ribbon and I’m going to take the right side of the ribbon and I’m going to scrunch that down into my Mini Bowdabra. Now, I’m just going to make a loop. And again, I’m taking the right side of the ribbon and I’m putting it down and just scrunch that into my Mini Bowdabra. So, I’m just going to go to the center and scrunch that all down. I’ll just take my wand and just give it a good push.
Next, I’m going to take another piece of matching grosgrain, and I’ve dovetailed the ends. (And to dovetail, all you do is fold your ribbon in half, and then you’re just going to cut at an angle from the corner in towards the fold. And that gives you your nice dovetailed ends.) So, I’m going to just fold this in half here, find the center. Now, I’m going to do a little mountain-up fold and scrunch that down into my Mini Bowdabra.
Then, I’ve got two pieces of this nice pink satin ribbon. And again, I’m going to put the right side, the satin side down and just scrunch that in. I make my loop, bring this back and scrunch it in. Then, just go to the center and scrunch that down. I’m going to do the exact same thing again, take the satin side, which is my right side of the ribbon, scrunch that down, fold it back, make my loop and just scrunch it down in here, and then just push the center down. I’m going to take my wand and just give everything a really good push.
Next, I have this just last little piece. I’m just going to fold that in half. I’ve already dovetailed the ends on that. And I just push that down into my Bowdabra with my wand, scrunch it all in.
Finally, I’m going to take my Bowdabra Bow Wire that I folded in half so I have my slipknot. Push the bow down and pull it really tight while it’s still in my Mini Bowdabra. Then, I’m going to take the hair bow out. I separate the ends and bring it around to the back. And I’m just going to tie a knot. I’m going to double-knot it.
Now, I could tie this onto a ponytail holder, or onto a barrette, but I’m just going to clip it to get it out of the way. I would definitely use the wire to tie it onto a ponytail holder.
To finish, I’m just going to shape out my loops. And I love that they’re wire edge because I can just play with how I shape them. And then I have this little rhinestone, and I’m just going to take some of my Liquisilk, which I love because it doesn’t stick to your hands. So, I’m just going to put a little bit on here. And then I’m just going to push this down onto my bow, let it sit for a little bit, maybe even clamp it. And you have this adorable little hair bow.
